  • Show Me

Ask your child to point to the different numbers on their T-shirt.

  • What’s That?

Point to the numbers and ask your child to name each of them.

  • What’s Missing?

This game requires your child to be within reach. First, ask your child to cover their eyes and cover one of the numbers. Then, the child must guess which one is missing.

  • Building Numbers

Your child can try to build the numbers they see using lollipop sticks, Play-Doh or pebbles.

  • Drawing Numbers

Allow your child to try to draw or paint the numbers on paper. You can also fill a tub with flour, sand or cornstarch so they can draw with their fingers.

  • Tracing/ Sky Writing

To trace, ask your child to extend their middle and index fingers so they can slowly follow the lines of the numbers. They can also use the same two fingers to write the numbers in the air.

  • Skip Counting

Ask your child to read out/ write down every second number. Then move on to the third number or fourth number.

  •  Hot or Cold

Tell your child you are thinking of a number between 1-100. Use the terms ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ to move them in the right direction.

  •  What Will We Find?

Choose a number between 1-10 and use that to count across. Choose a second number between 1-10 and use that to count down. Show your child how to move their fingers towards each other to find the number that is in the middle.

  •  Find the Number

Ask your child to read out/ write down all the numbers that contain the number of your choosing.
